I went Wi-Fi since those charges are just too much with what is offered in my opinion. That said, I love my Vita. Most impressive handheld yet! Keep the features coming! Yeah, you're better off just tethering your phone using it as a wifi hotspot and connecting the Vita to it, since you'll be able to play games and do everything else the Vita allows over the net. Playing games online uses VERY little data, so you don't have to worry about that being an issue.
User Info: rewilo I have a 3G Vita but I have however used my phone as a hotspot for my Vita, like stated above. Honestly, if you ask me, the 3G model is pretty much useless if you have a smartphone.
